Irony at its best...............Never thought the man who wrote The Great Indian Novel will one day join the Congress.{ I haven't read his other Congress bashing books }.Sure he is educated,handsome,has some high connections but will all that do???? He may win the election because of two things,we are fed up with the present government [we always are,whoever rules] secondly Mallus like educated folks [he got his PhD at 22] but the job only starts once he is elected.Can he be any different from the others????

My answer is NO...Not because he is not good but because others are not that bad....we always blame the politicians but many a times we fail to realize they have limitations on their part to do things or get things done.It simply doesn't happen at the snap of a finger,concerted effort from a large number of people will make things change that too over a period of time and the duty of politicians is to lead in this effort,well Dr Tharoor does have a good 'CV' to his credit but it will take more than that to understand people's problem and solve.More so because one man's problem will be another man's bread,to solve the problem at the same time keep both men smiling is a difficult job.

If he makes Ananthapuri [TVM] just a clean & beautiful [green & good infrastructure] place in next five years ,then we can say he has bring about the necessary changes to the place but after five years if he says, that is the job of the LDF mayor,then we can say he has brought about change to himself and is now fit to be a GREAT INDIAN POLITICIAN....................

The three numerouno in the list do not need any explanation as to y they are there.So I'll start from the 4th Mohanlal.Let me make this clear,unless ur a Mallu,he is neither handsome neither cute,he is the best among lead actors in India [perhaps the world] only Hero comparable to him is Kamal Hasan but Mohanalal is way to instantaneous...ie he doesn't rehearse,he doesn't study his characters he just acts.For me Mani Ratnam's Iruvar is one of his best performance,sliding into the shoes of MGR with at most ease...Beauty of acting....small reason y Mani Ratnam said its hard to say 'cut' when he is acting...

Thilakan,I haven't seen him sing and dance that is why he is so much below that ranking,may be he didn't get any roles which calls for that.Otherwise he is stellar...
